Betrayal breaks your heart and hides all the pieces. Betrayal will hold you underwater and tell you that drowning is what you deserve.

Betrayal does not only come from an outside source it can come from within. How? We all say I am not pretty. I am so stupid. I am clumsy or dumb… We say these things aimlessly till it becomes apart of us… Our tongue and mind betrayed us because we take our words (power) for granted. We betray ourselves by not seeking out who we truly are. We betray ourselves by looking for approval from everyone around us and they don’t even know who they are. Betrayal is sneaky and sly.

How do we become kinder to ourselves?

The first thing, I do is get into a quiet place, then quiet my thoughts. I can then get over betrayal by seeking the truth. For me the ultimate truth is God. I seek His truths about me. I know that in God I am strong and mighty; because I am made in his image. I have a strength that I have not tapped into, yet. Why because I have to get rid of all the negative thoughts and ways to move in my new potential.

Second, I seek counsel from my mentors and friends who are honest with me. They let me know when I am wallowing in pity. They let me know when I am internalizing, instead of letting go. I try to stay around healthy people that can help me be a better me. We are all broken and betrayed, but we have to choose when we are no longer going to live in the lies and start mending the broken pieces. We have to start understanding there is more to life than not being good enough, strong enough, and or well enough. We deserve everything God has for us and move in HIM. We have to Embrace the good in life. Stop thinking we only deserve the bad. There is Beauty within us and around us, Embrace it.

Let us destroy Betrayal together and all the lies that come with it. Let us seek the truth together. If we band together we can serve a mighty blow.
