This reminded me of the episode “Sparrow” in Being Mary Jane… Mary Jane Paul ….says the barista in the coffee shop asked her how she was doing and in response, she said, “fine,” when it was not true. She then says that we are all liars and the worst part about it is that we expect people to be liars, too. There is so much power in that statement.
Why are we afraid of the truth?
We are so used to not being truthful about our pain, that we lie about things we shouldn’t. We are so used to hiding our emotions that we lie about how we feel… and the only way to overcome your pain is to tell your TRUTH.
When we actually tell our TRUTHS, we find our voice to promote the healing we need to live a healthy life. By telling our TRUTHS, we find our voice to empty ourselves of the hurt that weighs us down and keeps us from moving forward in our gifts. By telling our TRUTHS, we find our voice to speak life to dead situations or circumstances. By telling our TRUTHS, we find our voice to ask for help.
